Apple's insecurities
by Claudia Sonea

On Monday a group of security researchers reported that Apple's iPhones are like sitting ducks for hackers. They could easily take over the control if the iPhone's owner visits a doctored Web site or Internet hotspot.Hijacked iPhones could be very useful to the same gangs that take over personal computers and use them to disseminate spam, according to Charlie Miller, principal security analyst at Independent Security Evaluators. As you may see owning an iPhone is a very tricky business, either you can be a potential criminal by transforming it in a bomb(blackberry's case), either it can let you completely off-guard by making personal information accessible to the hackers. More bad news to come in the area of Apple computers running Mac OS and the company's Safari Web browser that has the same flaw. This vulnerability is not yet to be solved, mainly because specialists don't know the cause. On august the second there will take place a detailed presentation of the flaw at the Black Hat USA hacker conference in Las Vegas and online. Until then we are left in a complete blur and the only thing we can do is to stay away of the iPhones or use them only like normal phones. I don't know the end of this but Apple should move fast according to the latest news. Keep on surfing and click to be in touch with the world and always know what things are spinning.
